"c'est pas fini à Montréal" on cassette, a series of lo-fi electric guitar / organ recordings, being released by Jeunesse Cosmique. these recordings are an attempt to communicate the spirit of this city beyond the official narratives, looking at this city as a place where the neo-liberal colonial capitalist machine is still very contested, where grassroots social movements are strong, a city where gentrification hasn't 'won' — for these reasons the music on this is an homage to that spirit of struggle in montréal & my own reflections about that experience of struggle shaping my entire life here.
